Instrumental from start to finish, The Horseshoe Curve showcases Anastasio's Afro-Cuban-influenced improvisations, replete with five-part horn arrangements, tight breaks, multiple percussionists, and of course, Anastasio's soulful, nimble guitar work. The Horseshoe Curve is a journey, an inventive exploration of the big band funk that Anastasio has been steeped in for the larger part of the decade.
The Horseshoe Curve was recorded with producer Bryce Goggin at The Barn, Anastasio's studio complex in Vermont, as well as Trout Recording in Brooklyn, NY. Alongside Anastasio, the band includes sax players Dave Grippo, Peter Apfelbaum and Russell Remington; trumpeter Jen Hartswick, trombonist Andy Moroz, keyboardist Ray Paczkowski, drummer Russ Lawton, percussionist Cyro Baptista and bassist Tony Markellis.

Bar 17 marks Trey Anastasio's second solo album in just under a year as he continues his evolution as guitarist, songwriter and improvisationalist to create a kaleidoscopic yet cohesive listening experience, one of his most remarkable albums to date.
Recorded on and off over the past three years in a variety of locations including Trey's famed Barn recording studio in Vermont and co-producer Bryce Googin's (Phish, Pavement) Trout Studios in Brooklyn, NY. Joining Trey in the studio were musicians from all eras of Trey's career including members of Phish and various incarnations of Trey's solo band, string players from his "Seis De Mayo" project and longtime collaborator John Medeski along with new friends avant-groovesmiths Benevento/Russo Duo, singer Carmen Keegan (I Nine) and Joan Wasser (Dambuilders, Those Bastard Souls).
A musical chameleon at heart, Trey continues to immerse himself comfortably in a variety of sonic environments. Beginning with the familiar sound of Mike Gordon's basswork on the dynamic opening track "Host Across the Potomac", Trey touches on Stones Exile-era riffing ("Dragonfly" and "Mud City") and thrilling guitar solos on the title track and "What's Done", as well as the structured-improv crowd favorite "Goodbye Head" and the expanded instrumentation of "Cincinnatti".

18 Steps began as the accompanying bonus mini-album to Trey Anastasio's Bar 17 release, consisting of the cutting room floor material that never made it
onto Bar 17. Originally bundled free to every customer who ordered Bar 17,
what began as a simple bonus CD of outtake material soon became regarded by
many fans as a complete record in its own right. In respons, 18 Steps is now
available as its own record, available only through Trey's online store via
his own Rubber Jungle Records. Featuring studio versions of fan-favorite
live material such as "Dark And Down" and "Low," 18 Steps also boasts unique
acoustic snippets never before released or played live such as "In Spirals,"
"Agnes" and "Rose Alone." In hindsight, 18 Steps is more than just extra
material from the Bar 17 sessions, it completes the picture that Bar 17
started. In fact, Shine completes the trilogy as much of the material from
all three albums was written during the same time period. For a complete
view of Trey's mindset and musical career from 2004-2006, all three albums
must be taken into consideration.

Trampled by Lambs and Pecked by the Dove consists of 25 raw tracks recorded by Trey Anastasio and Tom Marshall in 1997 during four weekend songwriting sessions. There is an unmistakable immediacy and excitement to these tracks, as the songs were recorded to an eight-track digital tape machine as they were being created. Their efforts over a total of nine days yielded ten songs featured on two recent Phish albums, The Story of the Ghost and Farmhouse, as well as additional songs that have become live staples for both Phish as well as Trey’s solo projects. This CD also contains songs from these sessions which have not yet been heard elsewhere.
Released 2000.
